New Central Catholic Principal

I am delighted to introduce our new Central Catholic principal, Mr. Daryl Beck. Mr. Beck brings with him a wealth of experience and a passion for education that will undoubtedly make a positive impact on our school community.

Before we embark on this exciting new chapter, I want to thank Mrs. Robertson for her willingness to delay retirement until we could find a suitable successor. Mrs. Robertson has served Central Catholic with unwavering dedication and exceptional leadership, leaving an indelible mark on our school community. We extend our deepest gratitude to her for her tireless efforts and commend her for leaving Central Catholic in a strong position.

Mr. Beck has joined our community from southern California where he and his family previously resided. He has been a service-oriented assistant principal with a strong background in school administration. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated expertise in implementing innovative classroom instruction strategies, fostering meaningful relationships with parents, students, and the community, and has successfully recruited top-quality teachers, coaches, and staff members. Mr. Beck holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Pacific and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fullerton.

His administration experience is comprehensive and spans several important areas of school management. During his tenure at Trabuco Hills High School, Mr. Beck served as Assistant Principal of Guidance & Curriculum, Assistant Principal of Athletics & Discipline, Assistant Principal of Athletics & Facilities, and Assistant Principal of Supervision & Discipline. In these roles, he was responsible for overseeing academic programs, assessments, athletics, attendance, committees, collaboration, discipline, supervision, finance, fundraising, guidance, curriculum, and overall management. Mr. Beck's commitment to education extends beyond his administrative duties, as evidenced by his teaching experience (Math and PE) and coaching experience with football and basketball.

What sets Mr. Beck apart is his profound desire to work in and lead a Catholic school. His personal faith journey and his understanding of the importance of Catholic education have inspired him to seek a role where he can integrate his professional expertise with his deep-rooted beliefs. He recognizes the transformative power of Catholic education in shaping young minds and nurturing their spiritual growth.

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated individuals who served on the interview committee, including many of our teachers, administrators, and board members. Your time, effort, and commitment to finding the best candidate for the principal position have been invaluable. Your expertise and insights played a crucial role in the selection of Mr. Beck, and I am deeply appreciative of your contributions.

I encourage all of you to warmly welcome him and his family. His wife Melissa, their daughters Sarah and Emily, and their son AJ will be joining us. Sarah is a rising senior at IU Bloomington, AJ is starting his first year at Ivy Tech, and Emily will begin her junior year at Central Catholic in August.
