Welcome to the Admissions Process for Our Five Schools


Applying to a new school can be overwhelming. The admissions team at Lafayette Catholic School System is here to help make the application process as easy as possible. We have created easy to follow steps to apply for Preschool, Kindergarten, Elementary and Jr.-Sr. High School. 
PRESCHOOL Application Steps
Call 765.474.7500 or email social@lcss.org to set up a private tour to see the new, state of art St. Francis Early Learning Academy! Chat with their knowledgable and caring staff and decide which schedule fits your family's needs. 
 
Our application process is online now and available also in Spanish. Click on the link to set up your account. Then fill out your application. Please note, you will need to provide a few pieces of documentation to complete Enrollment:
 
  • Birth certificate - a copy of your child's birth certificate will need to uploaded or shared with the school, prior to the first day of classes. A child needs to have turned 3 years old by Aug. 1 of the year they will begin PreSchool or 4 years old by Aug. 1 of the year they will begin PreKindergarten.
 
 
 

The Lafayette Catholic School System uses a vendor called FACTS to process tuition payments and manage tuition payment plans. Please set up your online account to choose your method of payment, your payment plan, and payment date.

KINDERGARTEN Application Steps

 

Kindergarten Application packets will be accepted beginning Kindergarten Registration Day, Friday, February 14, 2020. After Kindergarten Registration Day, applications will be admitted first come, first served.

Required Kindergarten Immunizations must be completed by the first day of school. Be sure your physician updates the Children & Hoosier Immunization Registry Program (CHIRP) with your child’s immunizations; otherwise submit a copy of your child’s immunization record to your school office.

Grades 1-6 Application Steps

 

Application packets for the 2021-22 school year will be accepted by the LCSS Admissions Director beginning January 1.

Applications will be considered in a first come, first served order.  

When space is not available in a grade, new students may be asked to attend the school where openings exist in that grade or a wait list will be started.

 

The LCSS Admissions Office will arrange a time for your child to meet with the School Principal.

 

All new students must be approved by the School Principal, and are admitted conditionally for one semester. Approval is subject to change pending receipt of the student’s final records from the previous school.

Grades 7-12 Application Steps

 

Application packets for the 2020-21 school year will be accepted by the LCSS Admissions Director beginning January 1.

Applications will be considered in a first come, first served order.  When space is not available in a grade, a wait list will be started.

During the current school year, Junior High students and students moving to the Lafayette area may be admitted for immediate enrollment to Central Catholic at any time; however, Senior High students transferring to Central Catholic from within the Lafayette area will be accepted for a start date at the beginning of the next semester.

 

When there is no State of Indiana testing data or current progress data for the applicant from the sending school, a Placement Test will be administered to grades 9-12 applicants. For grades 7-8 applicants, another measure of achievement will be administered.

 

A meeting will be scheduled for the student and their parents to meet with the Admissions Committee. After the meeting, the Principal, based on recommendations of the Admissions Committee, will make the final determination of acceptance to Central Catholic.  All new students will be admitted conditionally for one semester. Students may be accepted on probation and will be asked to sign a contract with specific terms identified.  Approval is subject to change pending receipt of the student’s final records from the previous school.
