We are Family! We’re here to help each other.
With a mission and community built on serving others, the Lafayette Catholic School System is officially launching the LCSS We Are Family Fund to support our families in need. The global health crisis caused by the coronavirus presents a challenge unlike anything our community has faced in modern times. We know that many families will need additional financial support due to the effects of the global pandemic. Our faith family, coming together as one, can help each other during a time of great need.
What is the fund used for?
The purpose of the LCSS We Are Family Fund is to help families continue their children’s Catholic education through a time of financial crisis. It is intended to assist families who experience an unanticipated temporary loss of income.
The Fund exists to:
- Provide emergency financial assistance for tuition, uniforms, books and supplies, school technology, school meals and expenses related school activities; and
- Provide an opportunity to alumni, parents, and friends to contribute towards the betterment of the LCSS family-at-large.
Procedure to request funds will be administered by the Office of Financial Aid.
When a family experiences hardship or an unforeseen financial difficulty and needs financial assistance for tuition and school-related expenses, the family may contact the Office of Financial Aid at (765) 474-7500. Families will be asked for basic information to describe the circumstances of the need and what other sources of funds are available. The details of a family’s circumstances will be strictly confidential.
The Office of Financial Aid will consider each request and determine whether the Fund could be used for the circumstance. Decisions will be made as soon as possible depending on the urgency of the need.
