Central Catholic Entrepreneurship Class Sweeps Competition

On December 8, 2021, several members of the Central Catholic entrepreneurship class competed in the 4th Annual Burton D. Morgan High School Business Model Competition. Students spend much of the fall semester doing market research to validate a business idea and then construct a business model that represents their findings. The competition invites students from Central Catholic and Lafayette Jefferson to present their business model projects to a panel of judges from Purdue University.

This year, students from Central Catholic once again performed very well, sweeping the awards. Maria Vawter won the competition with her Catholic Day Planner for students. Caroline Bordenet, Grace Hardebeck, and Clare Rausch finished second with their natural makeup line. Dorian Justak and Chiara Brewer took home third place with an idea for a second-hand clothing store based on student spirit.
