LCSS was recently awarded a $185,500 grant from the Indiana Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund. This fund was created using the $61.6 million in federal CARES Act support provided to the state to help schools impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Lafayette Catholic School Systems was the only grant recipient in Tippecanoe County and only one of 124 non-public schools in the state to receive support.
“We are so thankful to have been chosen as a recipient of these funds, which will go toward updating devices used by students for learning and equipment used to enable live learning sessions for students who are attending remotely,” said Eric Davis, LCSS Executive Director. “A huge thank you goes out to Jeffrey Botteron, LCSS Director of Learning Design and Technology, who wrote the grant while also leading our academic teams in the creation of our new fall remote learning plans. We are blessed to have them on our team.”
