2016-17 Annual Report

“Every gift makes a difference in helping us to provide a community in which young minds are empowered each day by their Catholic education.”

Dear Friends of the Lafayette Catholic School System,

Our 2016-17 annual fundraising efforts ended successfully on June 30, 2017. As we meet with our supporters at various events and one-on-one, I am impressed by the sincere commitment and love they have for the Lafayette Catholic School System. I am proud of our alumni and the significant differences they are making in our local community and world. Most of all, I am amazed by our students as I watch them grow into empowered men and women, ready to change the world for the better!

Everyone should be proud of our “A” Rated 4-star schools, 100% graduation rate, top college readiness, Catholic ministry and 8,000+ hours of service in our community, schools and parishes. Our school community is committed to our mission to educate the whole person in a culture that is sustained by Gospel witness and service; imbued with a Catholic worldview; supported by a community of faith; distinguished by academic excellence; and committed to student success.

In addition to being proud of our achievements, I am pleased to present this Annual Report acknowledging our many benefactors. For the 2016-17 school year, we distributed more than $1.4 million in financial assistance and scholarships for 527 students, with an average award of $2,655. This was also an exciting year towards enhancing our competitive edge and providing stability during times of economic uncertainty: two financial aid scholarships and three endowments were established to support our most vital priorities each year.

I extend my deepest appreciation for your continued support. It is only through the generosity of our committed donors that we will continue to grow and achieve our mission of preparing students for life, as we have for over 160 years in this community.
