How Do I Apply?

Every family desiring Student Aid must complete the online FACTS Student Aid application, OR if you are only applying for the Tuition Credit Grant program, the one page Tax Credit Grant Application is required.

Students can be awarded more than one type of Student Aid. Student Aid awards are based on “Family Need” as determined by FACTS, and the criteria for the various types of Student Aid.

Is there a deadline for applying for Student Aid?

Student Aid applications for the 2019-20 school year can be completed beginning January 1, 2019.  Families applying for ALL Student Aid programs, except the Tuition Credit Grant, must:

  1. Set up an account and complete a FACTS Student Aid Application ($35 processing fee).
  2. Provide supporting documents to FACTS including:
      • All pages of the 2018 Federal taxes.
      • Supporting documents for all other non-taxable income such as child support, social security, unemployment, etc.
  3. There is no Student Aid application deadline for newly applying families for 2019-20.  Families with students new to the LCSS in 2019-20 are encouraged to complete a Student Aid application as early as possible to ensure the maximum Student Aid is available.
  4. The deadline for families with students currently enrolled in K-12 is Sunday, March 10, 2019, with the deadline for submitting supporting documents to FACTS being Wednesday, April 17, 2019.  The LCSS Student Aid Office will begin notifying families who have completed the Student Aid process of their award beginning April 22, 2019.
