Fall is here, which means football season and homecoming. For many years, the fall homecoming included a unique way of introducing its court. Instead of having the young ladies and gentlemen walk onto the field as they were introduced, each paired couple would be driven in on the track while sitting on the top seat of the back of a convertible, before walking to the middle of the football field.
It was an exciting introduction for each of the young couples, and fun way to get a close up of the court.
Though the court is no longer introduced in such a fashion, homecoming is still an exciting time for the school community to come together, enjoy a beautiful fall evening, and celebrate.
This year, in addition to the game, LCSS is also holding their first annual “Comeback” weekend on September 23-24, which invites all CC alumni to come back and participate in a variety of events taking place. Some of the events include a golf outing, all school mass, current events class with Mr. Eddy, the annual Fish Fry, a kids fun zone, Knights football game, and a post-game social at the Knight of Columbus (featuring Arni’s pizza and custard from the Igloo Frozen Custard).
