Central Catholic Jr.-Sr. High School - Grades 7-12

An LCSS education is an education of the whole person; spiritually, intellectually, physically and socially. Parents are the primary educators, and the values and morals that are important in your home are shared by the school and by fellow parents. Faith formation is top priority. Our emphasis is on building and strengthening a relationship with Christ while preparing our students to ask the more important question, “What is God calling me to do?” rather than “What do I want to do with my life?”

Living the faith is the ultimate goal of an LCSS education. We are preparing our students to be tomorrow’s servant leaders of their church and communities.

We expect more inside the classroom and outside the classroom. Because to whom much is given, much is required.

Faith
FaithFaith formation is a central part of everyday life at Central Catholic, and our school participates in all-school Mass once a week. Daily theology class is a requirement for 7th-12th grade. The Sacrament of Confession is offered in our chapel multiple times a semester. Our Campus Ministry staff organizes religious retreats, service learning opportunities, and dynamic speakers to visit with our students.

Guidance
Our junior high students at Central Catholic are vibrant, budding scholars. At this stage we are helping our students become more engaged, active, and self-advocating learners capable of handling a more rigorous curriculum that will prepare them for high school. As they move on to high school, we continue to nurture these students to prepare them for life after graduation.

The Knights 360 staff, our Student Services Department, works diligently to ensure our students are on the right path for graduation and success in post secondary education.

Academics
Our students can earn college credit by taking AP and/or Indiana University-Advanced College Project dual creditAcademics courses when they meet/exceed predetermined cut scores. In addition, we collaborate with the Purdue Outreach Program, Ivy Technical College’s Double Up Program, Indiana University Advanced College Project, and Lafayette Jefferson High School to ensure that we have a relevant and academically rigorous curriculum.

Extracurricular Activities
From band, choir, theater, and art to clubs and service opportunities our students remain busy! We are fortunate to have 10:10, a homeroom class that meets 4 times a week where students are able to meet with their various clubs during the school day. We can also use this time for all school convocations, class meetings, and all the other various events that are necessary in a well-rounded education.
