St. Mary's utilizes the Accelerated Reader program to enhance the reading and comprehension skills of our students.  The program provides personal success in three simple steps:

1.  Each Accelerated Reader book is assigned a Book Level and a Point Value so your child can choose a book at their appropriate reading level. 2.  After reading the book, your child takes a quiz over the book in the school computer lab. 3.  Quiz results are provided to your child’s teacher and then sent home for your review. The St. Mary library does not have quizzes for all Accelerated Reader books at this time.  To see if there is an Accelerated Reader quiz for your book, click on the Accelerated Reader logo and type in the title of your book.

Accelerated Reader Home Connect Home Connect improves the school-to-home connection by allowing parents and students to log in to a Web site and view the student’s reading practice and progress towards goals. Access to online results promotes discussion between parents and students, which motivates students and can make reading practice even more effective.
