School Mission
Utilizing a curriculum infused with the Gospel, the faculty and staff reinforce the Catholic values instilled by the parents, the primary educators.
In a caring, homelike atmosphere, we are committed to developing the whole child by:
  • teaching the Catholic faith as a way of life in which time, talent, and treasures are shared with God and others;
  • fostering a healthy learning environment where self-esteem, leadership and responsibility are nurtured;
  • providing a diverse, integrated curriculum which develops strong basic skills;
  • challenging students to become independent thinkers, communicators, and conscientious members of today's highly technological society; striving to inspire an enthusiasm for the long learning.

Description St. Lawrence School provides a quality Catholic education for students in preschool through Grade 6 in a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning.
Enrollment 200 students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Faculty Principal, 10 classroom teachers, physical education teacher, music teacher, counselor. Classroom Teachers - 75% have Master's degrees and all are State Certified.
Students Student/teacher ratio is 21:1. Students come from the surrounding parishes in the Greater Lafayette area.  Open to non-Catholic students.

Indiana State ranking of Exemplary Progress, highest ranking under the State of Indiana’s accountability system for K-12.
Spiritual Growth Religious instruction in the Catholic Faith, daily prayer, Holy Mass twice a week, Sacramental Preparation in liturgical celebrations, Altar Servers, Family Life program, and Service Projects.
Curriculum State-approved curriculum: Language Arts, Phonics, Math, Social Studies, Science, Penmanship, Art, Music, Physical Education, Health, AIDS & Drug Education. Basics skills are reinforced through the use of computers.
Enrichment Education Fair: Science, History, Media; County Spelling Bee, National Geography Bee, Tri-Kappa Poetry Contest, Christian Schools Spelling and Math Competition, Educational Field Trips, Annual Christmas and Spring Music programs, choir, regional and state science, a variety of community activities.
Technology Formal technology instruction one hour each week.
Special Services Student Testing Services and Speech Therapist provided through GLASS, Community Health programs, Volunteer Tutoring in Reading and Math, Purdue University School of Education's 'Special Friend' program.
