Campus Ministry
Central Catholic is committed to educating the whole person; body, mind and spirit. It is our aim and purpose, to not only
give our students a solid academic understanding of their faith, but more importantly
touch their hearts and their souls, as to the endless depth that a relationship
with God can give them.
It is really a very simple goal...teaching to strive to be the best in all we do
and all we are through our academics, spiritual formation, athletics and service
to others. Our students have such depth of faith and love of God already in them;
our mission is to simply to provide the environment to unleash the gifts and talents
they already possess from God.
In addition to understanding Catholicism through
daily theology courses, prayer is an integral part of daily life at Central Catholic. Every school day, every class, every athletic event begins with prayer. Meditative prayer
before the Eucharist on First Fridays also helps to develop the importance of prayer.
Gathering as one family, the entire student body comes together weekly to celebrate
Mass. Central Catholic welcomes the
Lafayette community to join them at 8:15 am each Friday morning.
Priests throughout area celebrate the Eucharist with the students, and also
provide regular opportunities of experiencing God’s forgiveness through the sacrament
of Reconciliation.
The Central Catholic
retreat programs
invite students to a more personal and active relationship with God.
And it is from that relationship that we instill in the students the desire
to lead holy lives and to serve God by serving others.
Central Catholic strives daily to create an environment in which religious faith
is valued and nourished. The liturgical
and spiritual programs offered by Central Catholic are essential expressions of
the school’s mission.
