Description

Central Catholic Jr.-Sr. High School provides a quality education for students in Grades 7 through 12 in a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning.

16 Full-time teachers and 22 Part-time teachers. All faculty members hold valid state-required Indiana teaching certificates and have a average of 14years teaching experience.  50% have Master’s degrees.

Spiritual Growth
Daily religious instruction in the Catholic Faith for all students, Daily Prayer, All School Mass celebrated once a week, First Friday adoration and Reconciliation, Two annual Class Retreats, SEARCH Retreat Program, Service Hour program, Pro-Life Group, School Service Projects.
Curriculum
State approved Indiana Core 40.  College Preparatory coursework is encouraged. Honors courses include: English 9-12, Geometry I, Pre-calculus/Trig, Algebra II, Chemistry, and Biology. Advance Placement (AP) courses include Calculus, Biology and English 12.
Dual Credit Courses
Dual Credit courses are offered for onsite for college credit through the Indiana University Adv. College Placement (ACP) and Ivy Tech’s Early College (EC) Programs. ACP courses include English 12 and Government, and EC courses include Psychology and Pre-calculus.
Preparing for College
100% of the Juniors take the PSAT.
92% take the SAT prior to graduation.
57% graduate with an Indiana Academic Honors diploma.
98% of the students pursue post-secondary higher education.
Over $450,000 in college scholarship monies were awarded to the Class of 2007.

Communication
Edline: Online grade reporting system for parents to keep abreast of students grades and daily homework.
Athletics
70% of the students participate in at least one of the 17 boys and girls sports offered.

80% of the students participate in at least one of the 18 extra-curricular activities or six academic teams.
